Nicolas Martin, CEO & Co-founder of twalaba

Nicolas is the Co-founder and CEO of Twalaba. Prior to founding twalaba, he was a Senior Consultant at Text100 Paris, a PR agency specialized in IT. In this role he oversaw the development and implementation of communication strategies for big IT companies in the B2B and B2C industries. Nicolas seriously stepped into the IT world in 2001, when he joined Hill & Knowlton Mexico as a PR consultant for the IT division of the company. Since then his passion for the art of communication, languages and new technologies has never left him. When is not traveling the world, Nicolas sails the seven seas as a communication officer and deck-hand on board the French Navy schooner “Etoile”.

Nicolas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business studies from the Prifysgol Cymru University of Wales, and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris. A native French speaker, Nicolas is fluent in English, Spanish and German. See Nicolas’ full profile

Scott Swanson, Editor of The Hotspotter

However, his true passion is enabling the mobile worker with better technology. After having spent a year travelling between jobs in San Francisco and Seattle, he developed a plan to roll out a suite of hyper user-friendly business tools that would completely eliminate the need for anything but a mobile phone and netbook. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He presently is engaged with Microsoft’s Windows Azure marketing team, consulting on their early adoption program as well as providing editorial services on the marketing website http://windowsazure.com, Scott served in the United States Naval Submarine Service aboard the USS Helena as the ship’s Assistant Intelligence Officer.

Christian Kastner, Risk Management consultant

Christian may be working towards his law degree right now, but he has always been a tech geek. When he first took a programming course at his school at the age of 15, he instantly got hooked, and has been a passionate software developer and IT nerd since.

Christian has been working at an Austrian private bank for almost 10 years now. He was initially in software development, but after his enrollment in the law faculty of the university of Vienna, he progressed towards a career in risk management, focusing on the regulatory aspects of risk management at financial institutions, including the design of custom risk managment systems.
